NEWS
Colombian international striker and currently star in AS Monaco, Radamel Falcao, has already made the decision to hit the road and leave Monaco to sign with Real Madrid. Those are the news that have grabbed the headlines this week in the French and Spanish sport press.
As the Spanish newspaper AS already reported last weekend, Dmitry Rybolovlev, owner of Monaco FC, would have agreed to negotiate with Real Madrid over the Colombian’s ultimate departure. According to the information, Rybolovlev, the player and his agent Jorge Mendes, would have agreed to reject any bid unless Real Madrid makes a call. And now that call has been made.
News broke when Falcao coudn't hide his happiness and optimism to play with Real Madrid with his Colombian team-mates when he visited Brazil to support Colombia's national team in the World Cup, before returning to Monaco to start trainings for the new season. Also the inner circle of the striker has no doubt about the feeling because he would be fulfilling his childhood dream pulling on the white shirt of Real Madrid.
Now, French daily sports newspaper L'Equipe has also noted that the Spanish team's bid is already underway, and the negotiation between both teams has reached the decisive point. Real Madrid wouldn't be willing to reach the 45 million euros (almost US$ 61'5 million), which was the price that AS Monaco paid for Falcao's signing from Atlético de Madrid the last summer.
Meanwhile, “El Tigre” started to train with his current team in Monaco last Monday for the new season, in order to fully recover from the injury that sidelined him from the Brazilian World Cup.
