Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo & Juliet
To celebrate the 450th anniversary of the iconic Shakespeare play, the tale of inspiring love and tragic loss will be told through dance in Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s production of Romeo & Juliet.
Queensland Ballet will be the first ever company in Australia to present this piece, and will be performing alongside honoured guest stars Tamara Rojo, Steven McRae and Carlos Acosta . Acclaimed Ballet Principal Artist, Daniel Gaudiello will also play the role of Mercutio, while former Principal, Steven Heathcote will play as Lord Capulet.
This event will be a truly remarkable rendition of the much-loved poetic tale not only throughout the professional performances by the celebrated cast, but within the intimate and emotional re-telling of the heartfelt story of two star-crossed lovers.
