BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA — One of Brisbane’s most anticipated annual events is returning, with Riverfire 2026 set to illuminate the city on Saturday, 5 September 2026. ???????? BRISBANE FESTIVAL 2026 KICKS OFF THIS FRIDAY ????✈️ Brisbane is preparing for one of its biggest weekends of the year, with Brisbane Festival beginning Friday, 4 September, followed by the spectacular Riverfire on Saturday, 5 September 2026. ✈️ MILITARY AIRCRAFT One of Riverfire’s most anticipated traditions is the Australian Defence Force aerial display, with military aircraft flying low over the Brisbane River and CBD. Previous Riverfire displays and rehearsals have featured RAAF aircraft including the EA-18G Growler, C-17A Globemaster III and C-27J Spartan. The official 2026 aircraft line-up and rehearsal schedule have not yet been announced and are expected closer to the event. ???? RIVERFIRE — SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER ???? Entertainment from 5pm ???? Fireworks spectacular from 7pm ???? Brisbane River & CBD ????️ FREE to attend Thousands of spectators are expected along the river, with popular viewing areas including South Bank, Kangaroo Point and the CBD riverfront.
